Lamp, 17" high, shade 6" diameter. Base is Red Malee with an Aspen Shade. Semi gloss WOP.

That is very nice work Allan! Good workmanship...........I wonder if the size of log you had to work with limited your size of shade you could put on this nice lamp........while well done, proportionally, the shade looks a bit undersized to me........that in no way takes away from your excellent work............a bit more length, and a little wider base on the shade would have really made it a standout, and allowed more light to show through the shade itself.

Limited dia. of Aspen log. The larger logs I split for bowls. Still learning. It is headed for the wife's bed side table.

What an interesting project!! Came together quite well, and while the shade could have been larger it does OK in this form IMO.

Real nice. I am really interested in doing some lamps. Ya sparked my interest again. I don`t think i could do a lamp shade though. Car;l

That's really neat! I had no idea anyone would turn a lampshade but the video someone posted the other day made me a believer...and this definitely makes me a believer. It's a must-do project I see in the future. Great job!

Really nice lamp and shade. I love doing lamps but need to do a shade.
