It's so unique to all of the other stuff I see (here or otherwise) I can't compare it to something else... but I know what I like, and this is one of those items.

Steve
I believe you have captured a true artist sense for this piece. The turning, carving and burning all could stand alone and look great. Your capturing of all of them in one piece makes this a beautiful piece of ART I believe.
I for one love it.

I really like the carved dragon!!! You're getting better at carving! Ha!! Super job dude...you really let your imagination run and were able to see it through...big pat on the back to you!

Steve, you have passed over into the "other world" with this one!! Great job on the dragon, and I believe the base works very well. Excellent work on the pyro, too. This absolutely belongs in a boy's room!

Question - is the dragon also a knob for a small lid covering the entry hole? Nice work on the undercut of the NE.

Thank you all for the kind remarks. John yes the dragon is the finial for the opening to this very thin(for me) spear. It's 3/16 thick and for some reason goes down to under a 1/8 at the bottom. Got so thin down there it almost came through.

Loving it Steve! I really like the claw foot and the pyro is great too. I can sure see why your boy laid claim to it so fast.
