Are you sure that the material you have is intended for Metal and not glass.....

I just used some pearl on a handgun, it turned out really nice. I brushed it on thicker than I apply black cermark, and lasered it as I normally do - 100% power 10% speed. I have a 30 watt, 80ips machine so you should adjust those numbers for yours.

Are you sure the metal is not coated with something that would prevent the Cermark from adhering?

I'll ask the question no one else has... what settings are you using? (and add the power of your laser to your sig)

Now I am really confused.... Does Ferro make colors for metal or not. I thought Cermark (black) was it for metal....... I don't see a color "pearl
white" listed as a metal marking compound.... please point me in the right direction.

Black, pearl white, and bronze are metal colors...

Hmmm, I may have to recant my last statement... I could have sworn the pearl white and bronze were metal, but a search turns up only results for glass :(

You were correct Dan, I have Pearl White and Copper for metal. They are samples I got from Ferro a while back. Both work really well, just like black.

I'm not sure they are on the market. I have the samples too but it seems that Ferro was in a testing mode when they sent them out.
