Guys,
I searched this forum and found most of what I need to replace the bearings in my 36-810 right tilt Uni. I've got the belts, bearing cap, bearing nut, and arbor pulley set screws out. The instructions say to remove the arbor bracket. I'd rather not do this if I don't have to. Can I use a block of wood and tap out the arbor? Won't everything except the arbor end bearing come out?
Also, are the bearings standard 6203?

Looking forward to your expertise and thanks in advance for your help.

Joe

Google "replacing the bearings on a Uni saw." Over at Wood Central, there is an old article from Badger Pond. The Saw Center also has an excellent tutorial. Bearings are standard 6203's, with seals. To heat bearing, I place it on top of a 60-100 watt light bulb (on of course.) After about five minutes, wearing leather gloves, I pick up bearing and drop onto shaft.

Thanks so much for your replies. I did some more research online after my original post. Hope to finish it up tomorrow.
Thanks again.
