I scored a Dewalt planer on Craigslist, however, it doesn't have a dust collection hook up. Do they make one? Source?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Its quite easy to make your own using a length of 4 inch heating duct. Cap one end and cut out a section of the pipe to fit up to the chip exit. Connect the other end to your dust collector. Its not too difficult to do and cheap. Works good too.

Yes they do or at least they did. It was sold as an accessory and I have one on mine. It's DW7331 and fits both a DW733 and DW734. Check with Dewalt on availability. Here it is:

Here are two links for the part, which is out of stock at both. At least it gives you part numbers, a picture and an idea of the price:

I use this dust hood with the 2 1/2" adapter hooked up to a 5hp Ridgid shop vac. The combination works great!

John, Do you still have the vacuum hood for the DeWalt 733 planer?
