Over the years i've had a lot of small 12" planers from a lunchbox Dewalt 433 to Delta 22-401 and Powermatic 100 Industrial floor models.
Recently i had the chance to get a Delta RC51 20" planer. It meant running a new 30amp circuit, rebuilding the 5hp 1ph motor and a little tickling of the mag starter....not to mention a few hours of cosmetic restoration....but it sure was worth it!! photo here:

If you are nearby and need some surfacing done...c'mon down.

I'm feeling a serious case of planer envy. Looks like it was well worth the effort.

Hey Mike that is sure a great looking machine--I will keep you in mind if I need some wide boards done! Great find! Does that use only one motor-- for cutters and the feeder.

Thanks for the f/back
One motor does the job. ...dual outfeed rollers. sectional infeed w/major chipbrakers. One nice touch is the auto table raising mechanism.

excellent .... I had looked at used rc-63's for some time, but settled on a used casadei -63 instead. I am a real believer in buying industrial strength machines.
good find... those rockwells are hard to find

Hello there,
Where was that planer made? Was it made by Invica in Brazil?
Thanks,
David.
