Got some time in at the shop, and completed the second saw handle. Just some old Oak, to replace the ugly black plastic thingy that was on there. Got the handle fitted to the blade222761and sanded down222762then took both saws home for some stain222763 Look a lot better than those plastic handled thingys? Saws are still straight, and sharp. Never had enough work done with them to dull things up. May not be an LN, or a LV saw, but these are mine. :D

a few photos, PIP style222896222897rough cut, ready to cut out for fat fingers222900handle for saw #1 installed. Was a LOT of sanding going on, with a few files added. a look at them before the stain222901two bolt saw is a 12" saw, the three bolt is a 14" saw. Cost of new handles? Just some shop time, is all.

Cool, I have a couple of saws of about the same or a little older vintage. They have wooden handles that have been modified to fit my fat fingers.

They are not great saws, but one of them was my dad's that he gave to me. They just need sharpening more often than a better saw would need.
