Maple bowl with a few beads

Nice piece of maple with some curl and worm holes. Bowl is about 10x3", finished with danish oil and Beall buffed. Trying to experiment with some decorative elements, beaded band and cove at the foot. C+C appreciated as always.

Beautiful bowl Bob! I've been experimenting with bowls a little myself and it's amazing how just a small groove or bead changes the whole appearance of a bowl. If you look at some of the old ceramic stoneware bowls from the pre-plastic days you can get all kinds of ideas from their rim enhancements.

Another nice one Bob.......I like your foot design as well.........this one has enough of a foot to make it stable and then the beads on the foot add to the design in my opinion. Nice rim detail and the beads on the side do make for an easy to handle bowl........very nice wood............this could be an every day user for a family. Nice work!

Beautiful bowl Bob. I like the base. It's odd as I roughed out a bowl with similar base and thought "that's a little different". Guess not :D

Great job on a really nice piece of wood. Good job on the beads. I used to bead the bottom, but I find a dome shape mimicking the interior bottom to be more pleasing with less chance of priecing the bottom, and less sanding to do. Again a great piece and very well done

The wood is a work of art by itself. The beads make it better and the foot gives it some real lift. I like the wood, I like the beads, I give it a 99. Sorry, my Dick Clark days came back.
