I saw this and thought that I would share it with the fellow creekers. Here it is, the lathe of my childhood dreams. My nephew has this and if it was not a gift to him I would have bought it in a heartbeat. It comes with 4 tools, and even a spindle gouge. I plugged it in and it worked fine. He had no idea how to use it, that is a good thing. I just thought I would share it with y'all. Thanks for kooking. Russell

Now I think you've got the full set of lathes, Russell! :) Did you give your nephew a few red mallee burl blanks to play with?

I like the quote on the front. "Be a pro... wear your face shield." And it comes in it's own toolbox - even my big fancy lathe didn't come with one of those!

Now that is cool! I also noticed the 'Be a Pro - wear your face shield' quote!

WOW! How cool is that. Looks like you could turn a pen with it. I'll have to check into it for my daughter. Thanks for the post!

Kyle that is a OLD toy. Probably 25+ years would be my guess.

Yeah, I found that out after searching with no sucess until I stumbled on them on the bay. They be closer to 35 years old..... Looked new to me in that pic though! Still a great thing to search for. Fun stuff.

I know I had one at about age 8, that would be 48 years ago! That one is in great condition. Wonderful find.

I see Mattel made a bunch of different types of woodworking machines for the kids. Looks like this one you can make it into a bunch of different tools. (kinda like the Shopsmiths) but for kids. Cool.

We all might be a lot better at this if we would have had one of those ;)

Man, I just took a look at this one. If I had an extra $100 or so I would buy it for my third lathe.:D
