a little girl in the hospital kept asking for a toy truck. no one would find one & give it to her. so i made this one for her. lots of little turned parts. nothing like a smiling child as a thank you.:)

I like it. Very nice Michelle. That is a great little truck. Did you build it off a pattern or build as you go?

Wow what a great truck for a good cause. I used to make a lot of Model cars and trucks. Most of the ones I made weren't made for little kids. Too many small parts to come off and get in the throat. I did make a half dozen each year that were kid friendly and brought them to a battered womens shelter around here. I should do that again. Don't really know why I stopped. Thanks for the reminder.
I do know the great feeling of handing a Young child a new truck. Feels great doesn't it?

Michelle...you and that truck are amazing! Isn't it so true that in giving we get sooo much more in return. Wonderful gift....

Steve:thanks for contibuting in the past & yep, it would be great if you have time to get back in the swing & got some made up for the shelter. they have so little while they are there. A little handmade toy can bring great hap[piness.

just out of my head. her mom & dad are loggers, and I bet she has driven some of the trucks. (her mom delivers the firewood in a huge truck) . so the little gal was real happy I called this a logging truck!

Great job, Michelle. More flatwork than spinny. When that little girl gets as old as I am, she will still be telling people about the nice lady who made that truck for her.
