not very fancy, but the folks who need them, are very happy to have them. I'd never carved an eagle ( or anything else !) so this was a first rustic fun carving!

Very nice, Michelle. I'm sure those who receive them will be most thankful for your kindness.

Very thoughtful of you. How thick were the blanks? Is there a group that is distributing these? Are you connected with a hospital in some way?

That is cool Michelle! Do you have a Legacy or another cool method for getting the spiral? To save you some wear and tear, CSUSA makes really neat looking handles, almost as cool as yours!

Michelle,
Very nice canes indeed. If I keep taking headers on he stairs like today, I may need one sooner than later. Only my pride was hurt, but I must be getting to be a clutz......

Hi Dan: no , no group. I start with about 1-1/4 and go from there. I can't afford super wood for these, so i use cherry, walnut & maple. I take these to nursing homes/rehabs. Folks like these because they aren't metal. they feel warm & remind them of non-hospital stuff. Plus I try to make each different, so folks have something just for them

Very thoughtful and the spiral is a wonderful touch. I like the cabinet behind them too.
