Wow Joe!! My only wish is that it was bigger! Form and color are super, but the finish will stand up under a microscope!

Awesome Joe! If you hadn't given the size I would have sworn it was 3X that big.

Beautiful color and finish, Joe! I'm kind of hung up on ridiculously small bottoms right now, so that's the only thing I would consider changing... I think the foot size you've chosen makes a lot more sense than some of the things I've turned in the last month or so.

Yea, I've been through that phase. After having several pieces damaged from falling over, I changed my ways.

Thanks for all the feedback.

What's not to like? Other than not having a rediculously small foot?

Thanks. I think the Chinese tried the small feet thing with their concubines.

So a newbie question - how did you hold that while you were finishing it?

Beautiful piece Joe. What did you use as a finish? It's a great look.

Exceptionally nice work, and the wood isn't too shabby, either!

Beautiful piece of wood Joe, but the finish looks like pure glass. I agree on a larger foot, I have a 10 year old....nuf' said.

Very nice in all regards Joe! I am curious how you achieved that color. Did you use a combination of dyes?

So much depth in the wood and finish. I could stare at that for hours. Absolutely gorgeous.
