Have any of you seen this pyrography tool before?
I have and am trying to get better with my Rasertip burner and pens but found this at a garage sale for $5.00. Couldn't resist.
Took it apart to see what makes it tick and it is really basic. Just a transformer wound with several taps each connected to a bent piece of brass that is glued to the top and when you push a conductor into the hole it connects it to the burning pen. The tips just slip in and out of holes in the burner and make contact by friction due to the way they are shaped.
It is my 'go to' burner for burning my name on the bottom of my turnings though.
If I put it on high I think I could weld with it!!!!!

The pile of tips in front of the unit are just about any shape you could think of from 4 sizes of a heart to some musical symbols!
I think it was made in Chile.
