I have a 125" blade I want to toss. Just want to be sure I do it right and don't get someone hurt down the line from me. Anything I should do with it or just fold it up and toss in into the trash bag?

thnx

Coil it and tie it with bailing wire and send it to your metal recycler. Your sharpener or a machine shop may take it for you also.

You don't say what the width is, but I've seen several tools build from old bandsaw blades...

I coil mine and secure with wire then toss in the metal recycle bin.

I snip mine up with tin snips before tossing. If you don't want to do that, then I'd coil it and then kink it into a football shape so it won't spring.

Before you toss it...... break the blade into about 12" long lengths. Gang these up into a rasp-like tool. Tape, or weld the ends together. Add a nice WOOD handle, if you want. Use the tape on the ends, and the "rasp" will stay flexible for those contoured style cuts. I have two. One is a "course" rasp, with the teeth staggered for best effect. The other is a "fine' toothed kind. Just stagger the teeth.

break into 12 " pieces and install a handle on both ends , use for a cut-off tool on wood lathe or sell to someone that can recycle them into tools
