This is my first attempt at a ladies floppy brim hat. I had burned a band but it seemed too dark and I sanded most of the color off. It is elm with Minwax Wipe on Poly finish. 16" wide Comments and critiques welcome.

Dolled up a bit with some decoration, and that would be fit for the KY Derby!! Nice work on this one, too, Dennis!

Very nice! Nice color in the wood and I think sanding the band back was a good idea. Obviously I didn't see the before, but I sure like the after.
