I have been eyeing the little Porter Cable 314 trim saws for probably 10 years now. Today I scored one in excellent shape from craigslist for $33!!!! Yeah!!!!
I plan on using it mostly for cutting sheet goods. Can someone recommend a 4 1/2" blade that is really good at cutting veneers? I know HSS blades are sharper and give less tearout when they are sharp... but I prefer the longevity of carbide blades.
What do you guys recommend???

You might try the MS41230CCB from matsushitaamerica.com (http://matsushitaamerica.com.p4.hostingprod.com/products.htm). It is a true 4-1/2 inch blade. Other options seem to be 4-3/8 inch diameter.

Great! This blade is very much along the lines of what I was looking for. Do you, or does anyone else, have any experience with this blade? $27 a blade seems like a deal compared to some of the other 4 1/2" blades I have found. Probably worth the gamble... but it would be nice to have some reassurance... if anyone has used this blade?
