Now it is time to apply the BLO, shellac finish (wiping) on a project. Sanded well, wood looks great, mix the finish, wipe the first coat, great. Settled in the wood really well. Second coat....Hmmmmm? Left it for about 3 hours. Still wet and sticky. Left it overnight. Still wet and sticky.
Think it is time to revisit the finish formula. Dang!!!! Instead of BLO, I had picked up my can of wiping tung oil varnish.
Wash the piece down with DNA. Start over.
Lesson??? READ THE LABEL STUPID.
