Thought I would show off my latest commission, it’s a 20x58x3 slab of sycamore with live edges left in tact. It is an absolutely gorges piece of wood. I just wish the camera could show the beauty of the wood. The person commissioning this piece is a huge fan of Elvis, John Wayne, and Horses so he supplied me with pictures that I engraved and inlayed for him. The legs are western red cedar. There is no finish on it, he wanted to do that him self.

Randy, that really turned out nice! I like how you handled the transition from the live edges to the curved ends - very clean approach.

It looks like you may have some of the nice QS interlocking grain fleck on the outer portions of the slab too. I'll bet it looks spectacular once it's finished.

Are the legs made from sycamore too?

That is one great table. Nice job. Any chance of some closer pictures of the pictures on the top?

P.S. Bill I love your work. I keep planning to build humidors but keep getting sidetracked by other work.

Well, as much as I like the "Duke" and the "King" I don't feel they do anything for an otherwise lovely piece

I’m with you Alan, the table was much nicer without them, but the buyer paid extra to get them. I wish I had taken a picture of it before I put them in. If they ever get tired o them they are only 1/8 of an inch deep so removing them would still allow for a nice restoration.
