I got some of the new laserable pens. It says they are anodized aluminum so I'm using 40 p 100 s for my 25w but I must be doing something wrong. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Charity

I think you have your settings reversed.. should be 40 speed, 100 power if you're using 300 dpi.

I have done them recently and use 100 speed / 25 power /500 dpi. Marks great.I have a 40 watt.Maybe need a bit power more for 25 watt?

Thanks for the input. I ended up at 100p, 12s, 500dpi. and they look really nice.

thanks again

There is no way you should need to go down to 12s. Sounds like something is wrong with your laser.

Sounds like you are blasting the snot out of those pens (and Dee, you're pretty hot with your settings, too). On my 60W, I'm at 100S/20P (though I could go a bit lower on power). I would expect for a 25W machine that 100S/50P @ 500dpi should be adequate.

I have used JDS water bottles and it took quite a bit of power and slow speed (even at 75 watts) They may have a
more difficult coat to laser. I did find though, if I lasered them normally there was still a tint of color. A few swipes with
Windex and a magic sponge took care of that nicely. These are the first products I ever had to give such a large
kick up in power.

This would be a good time for Neil Pabia to show a pic of HIS water bottles.
Apparently selling like hotcakes..

I have a 30W and burn the JDS pens a lot. I use 90s and 60p. Any less power and it I subpar results.
