A re-hab going on ( along with an old plane) is a wrench from my late Dad's Toolbox. It MIGHT have been HIS dad's, for all I know. It was a brownish, gunky, rusty mess when i found it in the back of the bottom drawer. 10 hours in a Simple Green bath, with a brass scrub brush, and things are looking better.:D221381 This is one big wrench! Sometimes called a "Hog Leg", aka: Monkey Wrench. Stampings on the handle are a Triangle with a B inside. One side of the head says Coes, the other side says Billings. From the style of the stampings, about 1926 or so.
Question: Now that this big boy is all cleaned up, what do i put on it to keep him "spiffy"? ( Screwdriver's handle was also a re-hab) I don't want this to start looking like the barrle of an old Brown Bess msuket....
