Simple Big Leaf Maple Bowl

I did a wood swap with David Reed about a year ago and this is a smaller piece of the block that David graciously sent to me. I kept it simple and let the wood be the main interest. It is finished with 2 coats of Forby's Tung Oil and 2 coats of pre-cat lacquer.

This is a spectacular looking BLM bowl. It is about as good as Big Leaf Maple gets in burl. I wish I could find some burl as good as that, and a reasonable price, that is. Your design, is simple yet elegant and really shows the burl off well. Well Done.
