Went to Doug Thompson's today!

Went to Doug T's today and picked up a couple more tools. Got a 3/8 U bowl, 3/8 deep spindle, 1/2 scraper blank made parting tool, 5/8 roughing
gouge, 1/2 U bowl. Almost have a wall full still have a couple to get but got to save up some more money.

The Silver handle is a special one Doug made up for me cause of my hand it's holding a 3/4 U bowl gouge.

Can you explain the shiny handle to me? I know Doug offers a handle to accept 3/4" tools so what is special about this one? And, what is with your hand?

I have nerve damage in my thumbs and Doug used a old handle he had to make it for me ,it's shorter then his original 3/4 handle and is weighted for me with my problem.
