this is the box I was working on when I got whacked earlier today.....[from the Stonewall Jackson Prayer Tree].....thankfully I was wearing my face shield! This is still in the chuck........I have still to turn off the tenon and sign it.....perhaps one more coat of a new finish for me............General Finishes Wood Turners Finish.........boy I really like this stuff! Dries quickly and will build a finish as well. This currently has a coat of shellac for a sealer and two quick coats of the GF- Woodturners finish on it. My camera angle makes the knob on top look bigger than it actually is. Comments welcome! 221283221284221285221286

That's a really well done box Roger. I like the way you flared the base and the lid strays from the norm, but I do like it. Glad you're OK. I bought some of that finish, but have'nt tried it yet, glad to hear you like it so far.

Thankfully, it came off the chuck early in the process of roughing the form out......of course that meant it had the most weight behind it too!

Well, from here I would say it was worth the "whack" - but, then, I wasn't the "whackee!":D
