Here is a piano bench I made for a women's shelter in Minneapolis.
It's made up of mostly ash and a little bit of red oak.
All of the material was stock left over from other projects.
The rails are mortised and tenoned into the legs.
I confess I cheated a little on the top, Oak plywood with solid edging.
I was at the shelter about a month ago and saw that they had a piano, but no bench. Being a woodworking, the solution was obvious.
The finish is sanding sealer and brushed on poly.
Thanks for looking,
Bill
