Saved from the Scrap Heap

I hate to throw away that little scrap off of the end of a blank when I cut one down to fit my tube. So I usually throw them into a scrap container. Not really sure if & when I would ever do anything with them. This weekend I decided to throw some scrap pieces together & see what it would look like. Came home from work today & decided to finish it up. This is the result. Excuse the poor photo. I don't have a tripod, so my pics are free hand. Need to work on the photography skills when I find time.

I like it. I've got a basket of c-offs, and oopses. I think they just found a new life...Thanks! Nice pen...and the stand is cool too.

The cut is pleasing, but I'm not sure I like the color combo... 'twere it me, I would have tried to find some scraps that were different, but more similar in color.
