This is the first hackberry I have turned. A friend from Mississippi sent it to me. It is about 5"wide 6.5" tall. It was dry and nice to work. It is turned about 1/4" thick, afraid to go any thinner as there is worm holes. It looks better in person than the picture. Finished with Minwax Antique Oil.

neat grain structure in that hackberry, and the spalting is really nice as well. I like the top also......has a bit of whimsey to it, and reminds me of a toy top that I played with as a little boy.........[many years ago!] :)
