this very large bookcase was made totally with handtools about 20+ yrs ago. Planes, scratch stock, handrills, etc.
It is made from northern white pine & eastern white pine. I finished it with tea to get a nice color, then a wipe on finish. Over the years the pine has turned a fabulous color. It has some dents & bumps, but has held up well over the years.

Not a style that suits my particular tastes, but the craftsmanship looks top notch. Great work!

But, it isn't round!!:D Michelle, good to know you have a diverse woodworking background. I mostly get to enjoy your lathe work, but flatwork background is always a plus! Nice work - particularly having been done Neander style!

Michelle, your work is always a pleasure to see. Nice job. I need to refinish my kitchen I built 13 years ago out of solid teak, then I'll post some pics some day.
