Maple bowl measures 1 3/4"h x 9"w finished with Pyrography, dyes and W.O.P.
Fruits are made from maple and cherry scraps then dyed, stems on fruit are small branch cuttings.
All comments and critiques welcome.

I like it. Very interesting. I would probably try to eat one.

Looks good enough to eat. Great job. Is that a bowl that you posted earlier? Made me want to try that style and color.

John...looks good enough to eat. Very nice, I've seen some nice fruit, but those look excellent. I like the bowl too, natural inside and dyed outside? Beautiful.

Hi Paul
This is a different bowl from the one I posted before. the first one was "taken" by a fellow turner who's work I admire in an exchange of pieces. However my wife really liked that first one so asked me to do another. After turning it I thought that it lacked something so the "fruit " was born.

Great job but you need a sign saying "Do Not Eat". Looks too good!

I'll take the Red Delicious! Great work, John - on both the bowl and the fruit. Very realistic.

The fruit looks amazing, as does the bowl. If you had not mentioned that you turned the fruit, I doubt that many would have noticed it was turned.

I love the pyro treatment on the rim of the bowl, makes for a nice visual and tactile contrast

Fantastic! I like the bowl, but the fruit and the whole composition get a big wow from me... Too cool!

As far as I'm concerned, the Red Delicious and Black Twig are about the most tasteless apples there are and were developed solely for looks! (So I will take the pear:)) That being said, your apples are amazing copies! Great work on the bowl as well!!

Well Baxter I can't say which of these apples or pears would be the better tasting, cause when chewing on the dust they all tasted rather bad, bitter and somewhat the same. :)

Ditto on Fantastic! The fruit is amazingly lifelike and I love the bowl, especially the rim treatment!

That may be the best turned fruit I've ever seen, and love the way it fills the bowl. Bravo!

Great job! My late father did a set like that, but he added a banana to the mix (required some carving/filing though).
