Corel X5 merging objects

Hope someone can help me. I am fairly new to Corel Draw X5 and I need to merge a couple of pictures. I have attached the file which should explain better than I can. But I have a Circle, Border and Picture that I need to make into one. My problem is that the "white" area of the pictures drown out the other objects.

I tried a trace outline as a logo and had no problem.
