I hope someone here can help me out with this one. I picked up this Delta drum sander a couple of years ago for a real good price and have used it numerous times. It is a older machine and the conveyor belt finally separated at the seam. I having the toughest time finding a replacement for it. The local (Houston) Delta center has had it back ordered for a month now. Is there anyone out there that knows where I can locate one? Any help is appreciated.

ereplacements seems to be back ordered also. M&M looks like it is in stock http://www.toolsandmachinery.com/index.php?cPath=1811_2068_2117_2122 but the price is high.

Hi Jim,

I checked tools-plus for you. They're out of stock also. I suppose just keep hitting tool companies until you find a vendor that has some in stock.

Thank you for those quick replies. Ouch...that one place is proud at 43 bucks when suggested retail is under 30 dollars (wonder if that included the install?? :D). I guess the old 'supply and demand' takes place in this situation. It may be a last case option for me. Thanks again. j

One thing I would suggest is before ordering from anyone I would try to call and verify they actually have them in stock. You don't want to pay more for current availability only to find they are a non-stocked part and you end up waiting on a backorder.

These people will make them for you. I think the only catch is you need to order 2 which is generally cheaper than one OEM. I am going to order some for my Grizzly soon. Take the measurements of your belt and give then a call. http://industrialabrasives.com/

I think this is the pre-made belt for the Delta - http://www.industrialabrasives.com/drive-belt-for-delta-18-drum-sander-120x-01595-p-1632.html

Thanks to all that help me. I just received a new belt from Industrial Abrasive. Install took less than 10 minutes (five were looking for a Allenhead). I ran one piece of maple through it and it performed as new. Thanks again for the help. jim

Jim,
When you get a chance, can you tell me the length of the belt(I'm assuming it is 18" wide)? I need one for my Grizzly 18/36 and am curious if they are the same belt.
Thanks,
Cary
