With respect for the "no picture… didn't happen" rule, David Reed did not happen to be in my area today and he did not take the time to drive over for a visit. We did not spend a couple of hours getting acquainted but if I had actually seen him I would imagine that he might easily be mistaken for a "local" wearing shorts, neatly trimmed grey beard and a most pleasant demeanor. Nor did he leave me with two very nice chunks of dry, spalted maple burl. Furthermore, I did not send him on his way with an interesting maple burl platter blank.


David is the first "actual creeker" I have not had the pleasure of meeting and I hope that if I don't meet any more, they are all as pleasant as he was… or was not… or whatever….

Since I have never actually been to the lovely state of California, I can only say if I actually ever did try to smuggle half rotted wood through CA border security, I never would really concern myself with the thought of confiscation along with any fresh Honey Crisp apples I may or may not be carrying at the time.
Guess I'll just go have another beer......................or not.

What would not? The camera you didn't have or the blank you didn't get? I wish people would be clear on these things. It's so confusing. And even if you did have a camera (or a car) it would not have mattered since you were never here in the first place.
