Here are a few pictures of a bowl that I turned to my wife's specifications. She loves it, so I declare it a success. I am not a huge fan of the height of the foot, but my opinion is... I am also not sold on the thickness of the rim, but it is growing on me. Up to this point I had been using walnut oil and beeswax for a finish that I liked, but I think that was because I was mostly finishing dark walnut. It definitely muddled the maple on the outside, so the inside got only beeswax. I have been trying other finishes since this bowl was completed but still do not have a go to finish. Comments and critiques always welcome, my skin is thick and need to learn where I can improve. Thanks in advance

The ogee curve is a little strong for me, but it appears you did some nice work on this one. And, if the wife is pleased - that is the MAIN thing! Beautiful piece of wood, BTW.

Wood is great and finish can't be beat!! Look at softening the curves and ease the flow from top to bottom, If LOYL says it's a hit...slap yourself on the back and say yeeee ha!!

very nice, just keep experimenting and your forms will change over time as you decide what you like

Great wood. I agree with Charlie, ......though if the wife likes it.....the next purchase is a lot easier.

Really nice bowl and wood. If the wife likes it that is all that counts.

Sorry for not mentioning the size. This bowl is approximately 8.5 x 3.
