I'm sorry, but if this saw is anything like it should be, this is the steal of the century. I wish I lived in California :( . Ebay item 7500543671

That does look like a great deal! If I lived there, I would at least take a drive by to have a look.

I don't see how it could be a scam, I would think that if you had to pick up something you bid on that you would exchange funds there on the spot after inspecting the saw.

The seller can require instant payment.

Allright, someone bought it and I think if it is as good as it looks, they should send me a finders fee. Either way, you are protected with paypal and credit card fraud protection. Someone please tell me this went to a good home.

It says 1023 in the description but "contractors saw" in the title. I don't thing the 1023 is a contractor's saw.

Sorry Guys-- I bought it sight unseen! The slider is worth $300, which I may not use. Where do I send the Finder's fee?? :) -- I am about an hour and half from there and will inspect it before payment. It is a cabinet saw, per Grizzly and weight 350 lbs. Anyone want to help move it? :D The person has an excellant rating with Ebay! It will replace my 50 year old modified Craftsman - a gift from FIL, which I will pass down to my son. Anyway Thanks for the "Birddog".

There are two great expressions that come into play

1. If it is too good to be true, it usually is.
2. (this is not a personal attack) There is a sucker born every minute.
