I bought a used Baldore gray grinder in good shape. I am looking at an older Baldor pedestal that is red. I would like to paint the pedestal to match the grinder. My problem is that I am sort of color blind. Can anyone give me some idea of where I can get some spray cans of Baldor gray paint?

I'm thinking the gray baldor uses is awlfully close to battleship gray, I just don't have anything handy to do a comparison.

Looks like Baldor calls it MG1000G30 GREY, and it looks like Motion Industries sells cans of it for $22.37 a pop. Item # 01143870.

Grainger sells gray for about 5 bucks a can.

I can't remember the color, but it's awfully close to Delta gray (on a Delta that is 20 years old)

Since you're colorblind, I'd go w/ the $5 / can .... Just sayin'

If you want to match exactly, take one of the wheel guards to a good paint store and let them match the color for you.

Rather than taking a wheel guard to a paint store, find some painted part of the grinder that hasn't seen the elements or light of day. Under the badge is a good spot or maybe between two painted parts where they are bolted together. Then have that matched for a close hue to the original paint. Of course, then you'll probably end up repainting the whole grinder!
