I've got an old MBF RAS that I need to work over and get set up in the shop. I had planned on getting the Freud LU91R 8 1/2" blade for it since it's got a -5 degree tooth angle. I was in HD the other day and happened to notice they had a Diablo 60 tooth, 8 1/2" blade called out specifically "for sliding miter saws". Looks like it could be about a 5 degree angle maybe. The 91R is only about $10 more + S&H. Just wondering if this one would work out alright since it's supposed to be for sliders? Anybody use one on an RAS? Thanks. Greg

I haven't used the Diablo, when you say 5 deg talking about the Diablo do you mean positive or negative. Either way get the Industrial line blade there is a lot more carbide for significantly more sharpenings.

I'm with Van on the better blade. Besides the blade being higher quality, the negative rake on the teeth should reduce the tendency for the blade to self feed.
