laser names on pens...

This is probably covered somewhere here so I'll apoligize now :rolleyes: . I've gotten into making pens on my lathe and would like to find a way to get peoples names put on the pens. I thought of this forum and thought I would check here first. I am really thinking more of personalized pens, not say 50 or 100 or whatever. Like, one pen/pencil set with my wifes name, sister's name, retiree's name or whatever.
Can it be done with a reasonable price? do any of you do that here on the west coast? what would be a ballpark figure?

i start my price at 2.25 each for a pen or pencil and from there they go all the way down to 0.65 each on 1000 or more.

Just filled an order of 1250 last night.
