Anyone install under-cabinet LED lights? Are they low voltage? How do you like them? What did they cost? Easy to install? We had one of those halogen puck light kits but they fell apart from the heat.

Peter, here’s a general thread on under cabinet lighting. As I point out in the thread, we went with the LED lighting and are quite happy with it.

I've been using the very thin florescent lights and have been satisfied with them. Low cost, and you can get whatever color you want - warm, cool, daylight, etc. Also, low power requirement.

I couldn't find a place to mount a transformer so I went with 120v LED lights. I have 3 18" strips and they only draw 4.5 watts. They do a good job of lighting the counters.

Thanks for the link Bruce. Which ones did you get and how did you set them up and control them?

Mike & Chris, Thanks for the replies. I would like to stay with 12V LED if possible but the fluorescent lighting might be a option.
