Nice NE piece Rich, LOML likes them a little thicker too. I know I feel better about a piece that doesn't look too thin for it's size, especially if people are apt to handle it.
I just did a cherry NE...but won't be posting...it cracked after sitting in a corner of my shop for over a week.

That's a handsome bowl and a nice size! I can never seem to keep the bark on very well.

Looks good. and will only get better with age. You did a good job of keeping the bark intact. I've got to try another of these, last big one I did was apricot, and developed four or five good size cracks while drying.
