Is there a command or macro that either merges, deletes, or otherwise eliminates duplicate vectors? An extreme case is the stick font characters recently discussed, where a letter is vector drawn first in one direction and then exactly retraced in the other direction to form a closed path, but really any object with overlapping segments that you don't want to cut twice.

I do a rubberband select around areas where I anticipate duplication. I go to the Object viewer on the right hand side (in X4) to see what the heck I just selected. I create a new layer that is not visible (turn off the "eye"). I drag all the selected (highlighted) items to the "hidden" layer in the Object viewer. Everything selected should disappear. I drag each item in the hidden layer back to the current layer. If I drag one from hidden to original and nothing changed on the original I delete or put in a third layer for "duplicates". this item is probably reappeared over an existing item.

Tedius I know, But I hate it when a Macro deletes something I actually want.
