While I was in Sarasota, FL over Christmas break, I took a short trip to Bradenton to order some turning blanks. This guy (and his wife) sell turning blanks and turn them round for you. They do this to reduce shipping weight, costing the customer less. Well, the shipment came today, and I couldn't wait to get into it.

These are Norfolk Island Pine. I've never turned NIP before, and it turned like butter. I applied Pentacryl, as suggested by Steve, the owner of the business, and its ready for drying. Rough turned 6" x 3" approx.
I also turned a spalted Ambrosia Maple blank as well, but the pic files are too large to upload. I'll post once I figure out how to make the files smaller.
C & C welcome
