View Full Version : Couple Bell Ornaments, and some Indiana Burls

Here are a couple Bell type ornaments I made. I've made some of these each year, and to give credit where credit is due, I started making these from the great tutorial video by Larry Marley. I have changed the process just very slightly, but do not call it my own. I also include some pictures of burls found while hiking yesterday at Turkey Run State Park in westerrn Indiana. I've never seen a burl on a Sycamore tree nor a Beech tree, but found these. While on a 2.5 hour hike I (or my wife, (I think she looks for them as much as I do)) spotted a half dozen or so burls.

Oooo...I like that variation of bells Steve! That's is worthy of a mini tutorial IMHO.!

You should start hiking with your chainsaw, Steve. :D
I really like the two-tone ornaments, and the carving on them.

No need for a tutorial when all you have to do is go to marleyturned dot com and check out his videos, they are great.

Very nice work on the bells! I like the contrasting colors and your carving! Nice work!
