These hollowforms I turned from a red bud burl that was gifted to me by David Keller with my woderful GIZMO. The one on the left is about 5 3./4 x 4 1/2 & the one on the right is about 1 1/2 x 4 and both have a wall thickness of about 3/16. The clock was a piece of trim off that I could not force myself to disgard. Besides the turquoise fill I also used a good amount of black CA. It is about 6 3/4 with a 2 1/2 inch clock insert. All comments are welcome.

Sam, I would have guessed that wood came from Keller - full of holes and gnarly!!! He loves that stuff! Looks like you did a great job with all of them. Are you sure on the dimensions on the one form - looks like a typo maybe.

Yes, that is my typical typing. It is 4 1/2 x 4. I, too like turning ugly to pretty.

Looks like you're giving that Gizmo a workout, and you made a few silk purses from the sow's ear I gave you. The turquoise and black CA really work with the coloring of the wood... In fact, I think the clock piece may be my favorite of the three. I'd be tempted to add a little turquoise to the pith area of that first piece. Have you done anything with those maple burl caps yet?
