Sanding belts for the Jet 22-44

I needed a belt of 180 on short notice and went down to Grizzly. I got felt-backed by mistake but tried it anyway. Worked great and lasted amazingly long. I'm assuming it was the felt helping to keep it cool as opposed to the quality of the abrasive. I rarely use 180 so I've only tried it that one time but I just got a roll of felt backed 80 grit and put the first piece on the other day. We'll see....

Anyone else use felt-backed on a clip system?
