Hello, is the woodworking show coming up in the Baltimore area worth the 2.5 hour drive from Philly? Is it better than the show coming up in Northern NJ ?

Probably pretty much the same show.

If you have never been to a show then consider going. Try to find something else to do to make the trip worthwhile.

If you have been to a show or two then probably not. I hate to say that. I used to love the shows but they are dying.

I used to wander around for hours. I once bought a Bridge City T Square from John Economaki himself. I saw the original Jim Forrest demonstrate his blades. This was new stuff and the guys really loved and believed in what they were doing.

Now it seems to be pretty much the same old stuff.

Two main benefits to going to show, go with friends, and attend the free seminars. You have a good time and learn something new. Oh yeah, you can spend some money and buy some new goodies for the shop. Be sure and stop by Peachtree's and watch Jerry Cole demonstrate his "Dubby." I have a "Dubby" and my only regret is not buying one YEARS earlier!
