Don`t know if it`s been said yet, but Steve Thomas left the show
after 14 years. The new host is Kevin O`Connor who is a Banker,
Vice President of the Sports Finance Lending Group at Fleet Bank.
He will be hosting Ask This Old House to. Mr. O`Connor is 34 and
married, Wife`s name is Kathleen. The O`Connor were on Ask This Old House back in January with a wallpaper problem, and Tom Silva showed up to help. David

No indication of this on the TOH web site, but it will be interesting to see if this is the direction things go. The show is no longer produced by QGBH--it's a Time4 Media Company program since last year, so some changes may be inevitable over time.

I've enjoyed Steve as a host; certainly much, much, much better than his predecessor. If he's moved on, I'll miss him.

Jim, I got my info. from the Boston Globe and like you I like Steve to, but then again a pet monkey would of been better than the other guy. David

Past threads tell me I'm in the very small majority, but I always liked Bob Vila better than Steve. Yes, Bob came off as a pompus ass sometimes, but Steve just always seemed 'goofy'...the show was never the same for me.

Kinda like when they killled off Henry Blake and Col Potter took over the 4077th...
