This is last minute. It's inspired by a hollow form that Steve Schlumpf did a while back. I was going to have it done much sooner but got sick. Anyway, it's for one of my Grandsons. His favorite colors are purple and yellow so I did the inside in those colors. C&C welcome.

Ed, that is some very nice detailing, and the colors really make this one stand out! Nice work, and a great gift. Glad you are feeling better - being sick around the holidays sure puts a damper on things.

Wow! I think this is a beauty, Ed! The purple and yellow is something I have been wanting to do.........both my sons work for the university here, and the school colors are purple and yellow.

The ogee curves are nice and the finial is very good...........I like the upward lift of the whole piece.........looks almost like it wants to suspend itself in the air...................proportions are very good..................just a very good piece here!

Ed - each one of these pieces you create is getting better and better! The curves and detail work on this one is just a touch more refined than the last and it looks great! I am looking forward to seeing where your turning is at by the end of next year! Should really be something!

Your grandson is going to love this!! Very nice work!

That needs to go in a glass display case. Very refined classical piece.
