The "highly" anticipated Monster arrived Monday afternoon, WOW, the quality of this tool is absolutely phenomenal. Randy's been overwhelmed with orders and the wait was a bit longer then usual, but seeing the quality first hand, I'd wait 3 times as long if need be.

Of course, I could'nt wait to get it dirty, so before the day was over, I was deep into a chunk of maple. As John K. told somebody recently, turning will never be the same:D!

The HF is maple, dyed with transtint blue, shellac and 5 coats of rattle can laquer, turned & finished green. About 1/8" thick, 1/4" +/- bottom, 4 3/4" w. x 4" tall. Will probably buff in a couple of weeks. The basic learning curve went better then expected, but certainly will take many more turnings to figure everything out.

Thanks for looking and suggestions and critiques are always welcomed

Congrats on the new toy, oops I meant tool. I can't wait until the day that I can rationalize the need for one myself. It has already been stated that I spend too much time with my lathe, and I can only manage a few hours a week. Have fun! By the way, I grew up just over the hill in Casco.

Congrats on the new toy Roland. Hollowing sure is a lot less stressful with no twisting of the hands and a laser to see what your doing!
