Balance beam with inlay

The teacher at my boys school asked me to make a small balance beam and I embellished a little with a couple panels. The panels are the schools emblem, in sycamore and walnut. Panels put together with hot hide glue. Only regret is that it took so long, that I didn't get better pictures, and that i used a 2x4 that was on the cheap side...
