Thinking of popping for one of the Lap Sharp sharpening systems. They were kind enough to send a copy of the DVD and it really shows some of the features of the machine. It can do far more then just sharpening blades.
In addition they have some new jigs coming available in the near future. Good for turners and carvers.
However, one question I have is if the tool bar will hold a typical spokeshave blade ? The spokeshave blades are pretty short and most all of the commercial jigs cannot hold `em very well, if at all.
Nor do I have the ability to hold the bevels flat enough to freehand. So the tool jig would be a required part.
So if anyone who has any experience with this machine could reply I sure would appreciate it.
