Hi all, have a chance at a Jet 10inch cs ts, 10 years old but like new condition with a mobil base. 2 hp wired for 220, other than that, all stock. 400.00 for both, a deal or not? Thanks in advanced for any feedback!
Scott
I would have to rewire for 110 for now, no 220 in my "shop"

Scott,
Welcome to The Creek! What type of fence does that saw come with? If $400 is the asking price, I'd start at $315, and go from there. A new CS wouldn't cost you too much more than that. HD was a Delta with their T3 fence system for $399, marked down from $599. Worth looking into.

For a 10 year old saw, I think that is a little high myself, unless it is an upgrade fence or maybe even upgraded rail extensions then I would say yeah. . The standard fence system isn't as good as the Delta T2 fence. I bought the Home depot Delta 36-675 399 CS TS deal. That really can't be beat, marked down from $529. If the Jet is 2 HP, then that is a plus, the Delta s 1 1/2 HP. If you have seen the saw and like it and comfortable with it, try to talke them down a bit!

Is it a contractor saw or a cabinet saw. My friend has 10 year old Jet cabinet saw and it is a nice saw. I think $400 would be a good price for it.
